As a child, I would climb, book in hand, to the loftiest perch of my favorite tree,
And there, lost to time, I would stay, 'til the last tired rays of the sun forsook me.
For then, thus removed from this world, held aloft by a thousand hands, gentle but firm,
My mind would escape from it's bonds, spread it's wings, and fly off to each new world in turn.

Right, so, I've moved my journally things. I've been wanting to switch to either VF or deadjournal for a while now, and since no one reads this anymore anyway(or at least no one posts, bloody ghosts), I might as well go now. I'll leave this account for historical purposes and a couple of groups, and because I may still write something at some point, but for all intents and purposes, I'm goneded. ,

If anyone sees this and actually wants to know where I am, ask. I'll be expecting many, many queries...

Okay, I spent 10 hours today in front of the computer shopping for boots....
I think it's time to talk to the doctor about that little operation.
In my defense, though, it only would have taken a few minutes if my comp wasn't a huge, steaming pile of hyena shit. Also, if it hadn't taken so long, I wouldn't have had to spend $200 to make me feel like I didn't waste my time...

I actually managed to ride my bike every night this last week.....of course, I've also consumed one large pizza per night for the last three nights...oh well..

Somehow I always end up going to walmart during race weekend. I suppose deep, deep, deep down I love to get angry stares from hundreds of inbred incompetents...okay, maybe not so deep...

Okay, I am calm now...
I be giddy like the schoolgirl...
Of course that could also be the delirium setting in..
Well, they fucking rocked, obviously. All of my favorites were performed, and they encored with a medley of new material! and.......
...I got to meet Melora and Zoe backstage! and Jonathon, er, by the stage. I got autographs and, through the use of another's camera, pictures with all!
God, I'm exhausted..but wired!..but exhausted...so confused..I still can't really process all of this..need sleep....

I am Samurai! Behold my fluffy-kitten ears!

You are a Samurai

The ancient Samurai is world renound and has been
reveared through out history. The true esence
of the Samurai is in aiding and fighting for
the good of others as well as themselves. It
was custom for the training of the ancient
Samurai to begin their training early in their
childhood and to be trained to be true masters
of every aspect of life of the people they
protect. This ment that the training of these
warriors included cooking, gardening,
carpentry, weaving, and much more in addition
to combat and the honorable code of the

Any that follow the path of a Samurai, regardless
of their training, are warriors of the people.
This does not eliminate actions for personal
gain, that is the path of a martyr, but it
simply means to help those that you can, when
you can, however you can. That is the true path
for the samurai warrior.

The Warrior That You Are (or what kind of warrior are you)

Well, after the 27th, I'll no longer be working at Friends, except maybe occasionally to help out. I'll now be working another job at Sarah Cavender's, which means a raise and more hours, so that's good, I guess. I don't really know what to think about it right now, time will tell, I suppose.

I found some flyer for a band looking for a vocalist....and I actually called.
I sang over the phone, partially inebriated, and they want me to come by next week to do an actual audition.
I am abso-fuckin-lutely mortified... I know I'm not ready for this, but I think I had to at least make an effort just to prove to myself that I'm not a complete wuss.
I think I would have preferred to be a wuss...

Rasssssssputina anyone?

I HAVE RETURNED!!!! FEAR MY WRATH!!!! Cuz, ya know, I'm all wrathy and stuff...

yeeeaaah, so I'm a whole year older since last I posted...the entire birthday thing is so retarded, just another way to enslave us to the fekking false god that is time. grrr..I was going to go on a big rant about time, but I've decided against it, not worth it.

Well, in an attempt to defy the gas-guzzling/hording fucktards I'm surrounded by, I thought I'd grab my old bike from me parents house and possibly ride to work with it, thus practically eliminating my driving. Luckily, after retreiving said bike, I had the foresight to take a brief midnight trial-run to assess my abilities. As it stands now, had I attempted to ride to work, you'd be reading my obituary right now rather than this entry. It would seem the old bike-riding idiom failed to take into account the decline of physical ability. Anyway, it has been, like 8 years since I rode regularly, and apparently I'm extremely out of shape endurance-wise, so I think I'm going to make these night-runs a regular thing. I don't think I'll be riding to work anytime soon, though.

I bought my Raspy tickets!!! Now I have a vested interest in not wussing out and skipping the show, dammit. I don't mind having to drive to athens, but I'm dreading the drive back....

oh yeah...journal...

Well, my birthday is monday, woo pee. I went to coconuts a couple of weeks ago and bought a few dvds. I guess those are my presents. I grabbed all of miyazaki's films except porco rosso. I've never seen it and I probably will never bother with it. I also picked up Dark City, Labryinth, Titan AE, and 10th Kingdom. Sin City and Kung Fu Hustle also fell into my hands recently, so I guess I'll count those as well. Now I just need to pick up Psychonauts and I'll have a decent birthday stash.

less than a month 'til Corpse Bride!!!!
Rasputina plays 40 Watt Club in athens sep.21!!!!
nightmare before christmas game in oct.!!!!
xbox 360 in nov., maybe!!!!

Oh yeah, I also finished reading Eragon, which I actually found quite enjoyable. Yes, the style is fairly rudimentary, and I actually found myself stopping to laugh at it occasionally, but I guess I'm just a sucker for a halfway decent fantasy story. I even bought Eldest the day it came out.(of course, I finished Eragon the night before, so it's not like I could just ignore how perfect the timing was)

I want dreads NOW!!!!!

105.3 the buzz!!!
